United 3 Spurs 1

When the final whistle sounded at Blackburn I KNEW the title race was over, but when the final whistle sounded at Spurs v Chelsea last week I also realised I had been wrong. Now, all over again after Chelsea’s 7-0 win today, it looks like it could slip away. We are relying on a depleated Liverpool side, who have a tough game on Thursday night, to help win us the league. I just don’t see it happening, and have even made what I hope is a ridiculous error by giving my four Sunderland tickets away to deserving homes.

As for the Spurs game, it was tense and unpleasant until that 3rd goal of ours went in. At the point Spurs equalised we were missing our three key attacking threats - Rooney, Evra, Valencia - and I just did not see that goal coming. Nani proved me wrong and it was incredible to see the net bulge, with the second penalty meaning the last few minutes were unpredictably enjoyable.

So next weekend is really it now. We have done amazingly well to even be in it at this stage. All I can do is hope I never forgive myself for not being at Sunderland and that I will be missing the most amazing day. I will instead watch with lots of other hardcore Reds who did not get tickets due to the 1700 allocation and hope for the best. I see it going Chelsea’s way but stranger things have happened…

I hope you live to regret giving those United tickets to Sunderland fans when thousands more United fans would like to be at that game to cheer on United to hopefully winning the league, never give up, stranger things have happened.

Who said I gave the Sunderland tickets to Sunderland fans?! They went to Reds who go to every away game and got shafted in this ballot due to the low allocation.

Sorry I thought you said you gave them to home -Sunderland fans, I did find that hard to believe. Lets hope Wigan create a miracle in the last game, it will be great day in Manchester has long as United beat Stoke.
