It is a long time since a game passed in which United pretty much failed to create a chance and could have played another 90 minutes and still not scored. But against all the odds in a game that was not especially tough on paper, United managed to lose to Bolton without really even registering a shot on goal. Read more

This fixture was always a potential stumbling block, especially with the absence of Rooney. Blackburn had played the rest of the “big 4” without losing so far this season, including a draw at Stamford Bridge, and breaking them down would not be easy. However, United’s fluent passing and movement from the first whistle was tremendous and reassured everyone in the crowd that 3 points were there to be had.

Arsenal 2 United 2
The hype for this game, despite being played in November, was extraordinary and all eyes around the world were on the pitch at the Emirates as the teams walked out. Whilst no one believed that it could decide the title it would be a huge psychological victory to the team that won. The timing of the game was fantastic in terms of both teams’ form. Goals are being scored left, right and centre from both United and Arsenal, which only added to the hype.
