United beat Birmingham 1-0 in good away win

United went in to this game with confidence higher than before. The defeat to Coventry would have little baring and wins against Lisbon and Chelsea saw better play and more attacking zest than the dire performances before them. However, it would still be a tough game against an organised team who came away from Anfield with a draw, especially with us struggling to break teams down with much conviction. Read more

Man Utd 0-2 Coventry City

The result from the game last night was disappointing but was it really anything less than what we were expecting? Last season United failed against lower league opposition and have historically played a weaker side so it was never going to be an easy game.

Man United brush aside Chelsea in 2-0 win

This was an intriguing fixture from the moment it was announced, let alone after the events of the week preceding it and the departure of Mourinho. Chelsea came to Old Trafford in chaos, with rifts all over the place including on the pitch. Some suggested it was the best time to play them, others thought they could muster resolve and get a result against us. Fortunately Chelsea did not turn up from the first kick and United were never threatened. Read more
